NTA award-winning actress, Katie, has appeared on our screens in various roles since landing her first lead at 16 in the hit BBC drama, Waterloo Road, playing feisty school girl, Jodie 'Scout' Allen. After working on the show for three incredible series tackling a range of current and hard hitting issues, soon after she was cast as bubbly Sinead Tinker in ITV’s flagship soap, Coronation Street.


It was for this role that she won her National Television Award for Best Serial Drama Performance, and even gained a BAFTA nod for their coveted 'Must See Moment' Award. Having walked the cobbles for over seven years, Katie worked on both comical and extremely emotional storylines, showcasing her versatility as a performer. 


More recently, she landed the role of troublesome Georgina in the late Kay Mellor’s BBC smash, The Syndicate. She also starred in a 9-month storyline playing conspiracy theorist, Becky Quentin, on Channel 4's Hollyoaks. Katie has also fronted roles in BBC 1's Moving On and appeared as a guest lead role in Leonardo, filmed in South Africa. 


Outside of acting, she has made numerous TV appearances including starring in the 2021 series of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, a Sport Relief charity special of The Greatest Dancer, the Stand Up 2 Cancer charity special Stand Up and Deliver for Channel 4 - and she also filming a smear test segment for ITVs Lorraine where she documented her own experience in a bid to encourage women to go for their smears. 


She has recently been working on BBC Morning Live working across various vox pops style interviews and hosting the Strictly Fitness segment. She will soon be embarking on her first national theatre tour, making her stage play debut as Cleo in Peter James' Wish You Were Dead.
