Jazmine Franks
Jazmine Franks is a northern actress who started her career in television when she was just eight-years-old. Having appeared in guest lead roles in various productions throughout her younger years, including Kirsty in the 2006 miniseries Johnny and the Bomb, Jane Morris in ITV series The Second Coming, as well as roles in Channel 4's Shameless and BBC One drama The Street.
She is most well known for her seven year role as Esther Bloom on hit Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks, from 2011 to 2018. Whilst in Hollyoaks, Jazz was involved in many hard hitting storylines including a highly publicised story where her character was severely bullied by her classmates. In 2022, Jazz embarked on a national theatre tour of Shakers: Under New Management - starring as Adele.
She is also a fully qualified personal trainer and a competitive powerlifter, winning 4th place in bench press at the 2019 European Bench Press Championships, held in Germany. Jazz is also a patron and volunteer for Manchester homeless charity Barnabus.
